  • Learn how to increase attendance, math scores, social skills, and create pathways from middle to high school and beyond. The Maplewoodshop program has been engaging all students for 10 years via hand tool woodworking programs led by your existing teachers in your existing rooms. No CTE credential required. The high school program is a dual-enrollment program worth up to 16 college credits and provides a pathway to the Carpenters Union.

Mike Schloff is the founder and CEO of Maplewoodshop, a leading provider in woodworking education solutions for schools, camps, Maker spaces, and community centers. Mike created Maplewoodshop in 2016 with the mission of developing life skills in all children through woodworking. He started by teaching hundreds of students directly, then developed a portable and safe program which contains proprietary equipment, hand tools, and a training program for any classroom teacher. Since then, Maplewoodshop has launched over 250 programs nationwide helping over 20,000 youth discover purpose and pathways to the trades.
