  • The purpose of this webinar is to build leadership capacity for high-quality, equitable STEM education across all schools in the district. Leaders will define the characteristics of effective STEM education in a K–12 context and explore ways they can support instructional practices that promote deep learning.

    The session will identify characteristics of effective STEM instruction; the thoughtful integration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. We will discuss strategies to support teachers through professional learning and ongoing coaching, using data and observation to strengthen STEM teaching and learning for all.
     

    Dr. Jacie Maslyk is an author and educational consultant with nearly 30 years of experience as a teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent. Known for her leadership in STEAM and Maker Education, she has spearheaded district-wide initiatives in project-based learning and community partnerships that transform school culture.

    Today, Jacie supports districts nationwide through professional development and job-embedded coaching. A published author of several books, including STEAM Makers, she is a frequent keynote speaker and content creator dedicated to inspiring the next generation of school leaders.
